Automatic Airplane Mode Switch

I moved into a house with a very weak cellular signal. Wifi calling works well, but the iphone keeps trying to use to poor cell phone signal. If I go into airplane mode my calling problems go away instantly.

How to prioritize Wi-Fi calling over cellular on iPhone in rural areas? My iPhones have always struggled with wifi call dropping. This has only become worse as I moved to a more rural area where cellular has far more deadzones. While wifi calling is a carrier specific feature, HOW THE PHONE HANDLES IT is not. On my iPhone, as soon as I get even one bar of cellular signal, the iPhone tries to swap over, and half the time it drops the call. My android phones all handle wifi calling and transitions infinitely better (same carrier, same locations, same wifi and cellular). Outside of turning cellular on and off every time I want to ensure I don't drop half my calls, is there anything else to help prioritize wifi calling over cellular ON the iPhone, itself? I keep having to switch on Airplane mode, and back off again, every single day, to be able to make or receive phone calls. iOS and carrier software are all up to date. iPhone 11 Pro. Any ideas? Every single day, any phone call I try to make fails, and other people are unable to call me (straight to voicemail). Every day, I have to switch on Airplane mode, and switch it back off again, in order for any phone call to go through. Everything is updated, so why is this happening?

You could use Apple Shortcuts with Apple Personal Automations.

One Personal Automation will detect your Home Wi-Fi and turn on Airplane Mode through an Apple Shortcut:

Airplane Mode On- https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/b78479dd3c624f40b0ba514e760a9df8

A second Personal Automation will detect loss of your Home Wi-Fi and turn off Airplane Mode through second Apple Shortcut:

Airplane Mode Off- https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/658f36dc25cb4b3eb82d572e68949bd4
