Apple Request: IT'S TIME TO UPDATE!!!

I agree with the user with the "Cellular iPad" issue & iMessage. It defeats the purpose of a Cellular iPad even existing when you are not able to text non-iMessage users! Why not? If you have to use your iPhone to succeed in this task, then a regular "Wifi iPad" is good. I can just use my Hotspot from my iPhone with the Cellular iPad yet can also do the same with a Wifi iPad just to get internet! Again a Cellular iPad is pointless. [[[JUST SAYING]]]]

There's no SMS and no voice support on the iPad, or pretty much anything else similar.

With Messenger, Messages, Signal, WhatsApp and myriad other chat choices using cellular data, SMS and its seemingly-failed and routes-everything-through-Google RCS replacement aren't all that central for most folks.

But if you want an iPad with cellular telephone capabilities, log feedback and let the folks that work for Apple know about your preferences here: Product Feedback - Apple

There are nearly innumerable applications for mobile-data iPadOS capability.

Telephony (and SMS texting) are simply two which are not.

The point of Cellular iPads are for using native data faster, though you can use your phones hotspot it not only runs your iPhone battery down while your on the go it also can slow down the speed of the internet data on the iPad because it routes everything through the phone first.
