Face ID not working after update 16.4.1

I have tried all the necessary steps to reset Face ID and set up Face ID again. Keeps stating my face is not in View when I am in a well lit room my clearly within the box. Getting several error messages while trying to set up Face ID as well. States Face ID not working. Try again later. There’s nothing covering my cameras or the “true” sensors in the front of the phone. It appears his latest update has a bug!

so i was just dealing with this issue before i updated to 16.7 and after 17.0. what i did was go into accessibility settings and go under face id & attention, turn off all 3 settings, "require attention for fac id, attention aware features, & haptic on successful authentication. now go into setting up face id again and the camera should recognize your face now. after complete, turn those setting back on. hope this helps as i have been dealing with this for the last few days.
