My MacBook Pro was acting up - help

My MacBook Pro was acting up, I decided to restart and get a clean chrome going. Now all I have is the beach ball. Unresponsive to anything…. How do I continue shut down and restart?

"You can force a shutdown if necessary—for example, if your Mac becomes unresponsive—by pressing and holding the power button until your Mac shuts down. You may lose unsaved changes in open documents."

Shut down or restart your Mac - Apple Support


Once your MacBook Pro is shutdown, we recommend restarting in Safe Mode to see if the behavior continues. If it doesn't, restart normally to see if the issue is resolved. Here's how: Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support
