Hi. I turned off the prepare card option by pressing the side button twice on my iphone and I don't want to turn it on. How can I prepare the card for payment without using the side button?

can't select card when using Apple Pay I'm in the habit of using Apple Pay for virtually everything these days. I've noticed a frustrating change since updating to iOS 26. If I double click the side button to bring up the wallet and Face ID it before presenting the phone to the reader, I can't select a card other than the default. That means I end up closing it, manually opening the wallet app, selecting the card I want, then double-clicking to authorize it. I have not yet had the chance to try presenting the phone to the reader without doing anything first to see if it behaves differently. Am I missing a setting somewhere? I hate to be a whiner, but it's a PITA.

How can I prepare my apple pay card to pay via NFC? Hi. How can I prepare my apple pay card to pay via NFC? (normally it prepares by pressing the right button 2 times, but I turned off that setting and I don't want to open it. Is there an alternative way to prepare my card?)

Can't add Apple Card to Apple Pay The instructions say click on the button "Apply for Apple Card" inside the Wallet module. There is no such button. Running iOS 18.
