USB Problem - Can't change permission or erase

USB Sandisk Ultra USB 3.0 64GB suddenly goes "Write Protected" (Read-only)

Tried changing the permission but couldn't find any options. Only says "You can only read"

Tried also First aid and Erase in disk utility and keeps getting error

Can this USB still be fixed or it's a goner?

Thank you for anyone who is going to help.

Copy off anything you care about.

Then use Disk Utility to re-format it.

If using it solely with Apple gear, I’d select Apple Extended Journaled HFS+ or APFS, and not FAT.

And if Disk Utility is failing, the flash device has probably failed. Flash storage can be dicy. Lots of counterfeits, too.
