Word file lost after turning off and on

hi all, I've lost a super valuable Word file which has 6 months worth of my work in it. So, I opened Word (as usual) and wanted to continue working on my file. A pop up window kept asking my to put the password for CallHistoryPluginHelper or something like that. I cancelled it couple of times but it kept popping up. I tried to restart and it didn't so I pressed the Power button. when restarted, the file wasn't there. Neither it was in Word's recent file, nor anywhere else, as if it was disappeared into thin air, no trace if it ANYWHERE. I spoke with Apple and Microsoft with no luck. Installed RecoverIt with no success. I'm so desperate, devastated and baffled that no one knows where this file is gone! and it's only THAT file that's gone. Any help from anyone here? Please lend me your brain and if resolved, happy to give a gift as a gratitude!
