Thunderbolt display stopped working on Mac mini M2

After two days without a problem, my Apple thunderbolt display stopped working with my Mac mini M2. I connected them with the new Apple thunderbolt 2 to TH3 adapter, and everything woked just fine. On the second day it seemed that the display is not waking up, eventually after a restart I got the screen working. A few minutes later it started flickering, and eventually went completely off. I have an audio card connected to the Apple display, and what I find strange is that the led on the audio card is on, but as soon as I connect the display to the Mac mini over adapter, the led goes off and periodically blinks.

If I connect the display to my old MBP 2011 everything works ok.

How to know if the problem is related to Mac mini or the thunderbolt adapter?

Hi kranja79,

To isolate this issue we recommend testing your display without an audio card connected. If your monitor has audio capabilities there may be a conflict. Should the behavior persist, try safe mode as outlined here: How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

Safe mode prevents your Mac from loading certain software as it starts up, including login items, system extensions not required by macOS, and fonts not installed by macOS. It also does a basic check of your startup disk, similar to using First Aid in Disk Utility. And it deletes some system caches, including font caches and the kernel cache, which are automatically created again as needed.

We hope this helps.

Regards.
