New iPad mini 6, is there a way to manually shut it down 'to reboot it' like the iPhone?

OK, tried SIRI and she got it handled...

The iPad User Guide describes how you can turn your iPad on and off - off being fully shut-down. Here is a link to the relevant page of the Guide:

Turn iPad on or off - Apple Support

Shut-down of any iOS/iPadOS device is also always available from device settings:

Settings > General > Shut Down

Once shut-down, restart simply requires that you press and hold the Top (Sleep/Wake) button for a few seconds. The iPad will also automatically power-on if connected to its Power Adapter.

A forced restart (or “reboot”) is also possible using the physical buttons of your iPad. The sequence of buttons will be determined by the iPad model.

Force restart iPad (models with Face ID or with Touch ID in the top button)

If your iPad doesn’t have the Home button, do the following:

  1. Press and quickly release the volume button nearest to the top button.
  2. Press and quickly release the volume button farthest from the top button.
  3. Press and hold the top button.
  4. When the Apple logo appears, release the top button.

Force restart iPad (models with the Home button)

Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
