Does anyone know how I can access my Mail account now that I have installed Google Chrome?

Chrome is a browser, not an email app. Browsers are able to access emails by entering the URL for the email provider's web page. Then you must enter your ID and password to get in. It might be a lot easier for you to set up an account in the Apple Mail app or another one such as Thunderbird and let it do that for you.
