The WhatApp developers have not released an App compatible with iPad - the App being currently limited to iPhone. Whether or not an App compatible with iPad will ever be released is known only to the third-party App Developer.
Whilst the App is not available for iPad - you should be able to access the service from your iPad using a web browser:
Safari for iPad can be used in two modes, Desktop and Mobile.
It’s easy to switch between modes if a website isn’t functioning correctly or requires a specific mode. From the desired web-page, touch the aA icon at the left of the Address Bar; this will reveal a menu. From the menu select Website Settings, then select (or deselect) Request Desktop Website, then tap Done. Now refresh the webpage.
The chosen setting will be saved for the selected website - and can be simply reversed if needed.
Many online services accessed from a browser will automatically terminate a connection to ensure security. If the WhatsApp service limits the session time, you will always be constrained by the imposed limit.
Ask the WhatsApp developer when they will make a compatible version available.
It has nothing to do with Apple.
Whatsapp is responsible for their app and services.
Contact Whatsapp and ask them.
Thanks for your reply but WhatsApp on the iPads browser doesn’t work either unless you get it in to desktop mode even with that it keeps on signing out every few hours
