I got the iPad after my phone so I set it up with my phone number from my iPhone. How do I Switch numbers or add the original number it has. It’s still registers the number but i can’t add it. If i try to add it, it sends a text to that number. It isn’t connected to that number but it’s still registered to that number.

Make sure that your iPad is using the same Apple ID as your iPhone. Sign out of iMessage on the iPad. Sign back in again. On your iPhone, go to Settings>Messages>Text Message Forwarding and select your iPad. Follow the prompts.
