Camera on MacBook Pro issues

My camera on my MacBook Pro stopped working and FaceTime can't find it.

Is there anything I can do from the keyboard to fix?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 13.2

Thank you Chief! Sorry nothing "software" has worked to help with the issue. If you wish, you could run Apple Diagnostics to test your Mac for hardware issues:

Use Apple Diagnostics to test your Mac – Apple Support

Re: "I will probably resort to an external camera from here on"

Apple support's "how to" info:

Use an external camera with Mac - Apple Support

Choose an external camera on Mac – Apple Support

Cheers :-)

Thank you for replying, Chief.

You might want to check a couple of settings:

(They may or may not be relevant to the way you use FaceTime )

Camera can be set to Ask / Allow / or Deny

Eg: Safari > Preferences (or Settings) > Websites > Camera

and

Control access to the camera on Mac – Apple Support

(NB: FaceTime has access automatically, so won't be listed)

says

"Choose Apple menu  > System Settings, then click Privacy & Security  in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)

Click Camera.

Turn access to the camera on or off for each app in the list.

Thanks, My MacBook Pro is an early 2011 and Apple won't give me the time of day in support. I had a friend help me with Open Core - Patcher after loading up a solid state hard drive and 16 G of ram so I am running Ventura and everything works great except for the camera. Bummer.

I will attempt everything you suggested and come back if a fix was found.

Have a great day all who may come across this thread.
