Thanks for reaching out farrah253,

It sounds like you're trying to use a new emoji. We can help.

Believe it or not, emojis are developed by a third-party group known as the Unicode Consortium. As new emojis are created, users of Android, iOS, and other smartphone can gain access to them by updating their device software. You can learn more about the Unicode Consortium, including proposing or submitting emoji designs, here: Unicode Consortium FAQ.

That said, Apple does offer the option to use Memoji on select devices, and more recently the ability to create stickers from photos:

If you want to have access to the most up to date selection of emoji, be sure to Update your iPhone or iPad to the current iOS release.

Hope that helps.

Take care.

I only have 1 heart emoji and it’s the pink heart. How do I get the other hearts that were the normal ones?

Are you running iOS or iPadOS 16.4 or later on your iPhone or iPad? If so, then you have what is available.

If not, then you will need to upgrade: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

If you're on an older iPhone or iPad—on an iPhone or iPad that can't upgrade to iOS or iPadOS 16 or to the current 17—then you are left to acquire a newer or new iPhone or iPad for these and other newer features.

Here are the various hearts available in macOS Monterey, which parallel those available in iOS and iPadOS:

iOS and iPadOS have an Emoji search function, as well.

That search function is mentioned here: Have fun with emoji - Apple Support

If you are running iOS 16.4, you should have the new Emoji, including pink 🩷, light blue 🩵, and grey 🩶 hearts, and the goose🪿, among others.

If you can see the four Emoji while reading my reply here, then you already have them.

If not, update your iPhone 12 to iOS 16.4 (iOS 16.4.1(a) is current), and you will have these and other new Emojis.
