Youtube videos not playing - black screen but can hear audio
Hi community,
My iPad Pro 12.9" suddenly stopped playing Youtube videos a few days ago - I could still hear the audio and if I moved the playing 'cursor' along, I could see a hazy thumbprint image at the bottom of the screen.
I tried all the suggested solutions (router reboot, switching the iPad on/off, clearing cache etc) none of which solved this problem.
The problem (for me) was solved by performing the following actions:
Go to 'Settings', then...
'App Store', then...
'Mobile data' (pale grey heading), then...
'Video Autoplay'... I simply changed the setting there from 'off' to 'on', and checked the Youtube video which had previously been a black screen. It was showing! I returned to the Video Autoplay (above) and turned it off again.
The Youtube video continued to play, and so hopefully this will keep working. I can only assume there was some kind of conflict this action has cleared.
