Unwanted connection

My IPad continually joins another nearby internet server. I have tried “forget network” as well as “reset network settings”, and within several hours it will rejoin the unwanted network server. How do I stop this from occurring? Is there anyway possible to completely eradicate the unwanted network server from showing up on my iPad?

What do you mean by "internet server"? Do you mean a WiFi network? (Totally different from a server).

Is the Wi-Fi network not protected with a password?

If it's not protected with a password, go to Settings->Wi-Fi, and set Ask to Join Networks to ask. It will then ask every time before joining it.

You cannot hide networks from the list, sorry.
