Zoom on MacBook Air M2 and screen shared with Studio Display

I have just gotten a new studio display for use with my MacBook Air. It has the M2 chip. When I open zoom from the studio display, the app opens on the MacBook Air. Due to the poor screen sharing function of the mouse (yes, is an apple mouse), I then cannot control the zoom meeting. This is all since the software update yesterday for Ventura 13.2. Does anyone have a mouse fix (yes I tried creating a new user group and this failed to fix) and a zoom fix?
