How can I restore the Workout app on my Apple Watch?

Over the weekend, the Workout App on my Apple Watch disappeared. It is not available as an option. How do I get it back? I already powered off and on my phone and my watch.

The first (and simplest) thing to try if something isn’t working right is to restart your Apple Watch and its paired iPhone. If necessary (device not responding), try a forced restart. Both methods can be found here:

If that doesn't help, the next steps would be to unpair and pair your watch again and restore from the backup just created. This should result in no loss of data. It deletes all temp and corrupted files and re-indexes the file system.

As a last resort, follow the above procedure for unpairing and pairing the watch, but do not restore the backup. Set the watch up as new instead. There should be no loss of Fitness data or Awards since those are stored on the paired iPhone, not the watch.

I accidentally deleted the “workout” app. I had a hard time finding it on the App Store of my Apple Watch. What I did was find the workout app in the App Store of my iPhone, then I shared the app to myself (share the app in a text to yourself, to your number). You will get the text in the watch if it is paired with your iPhone. I then clicked on the text in watch and it took me directly to the app to download it again.
