Sorry, but if I may ask. Does anybody knows what this grey icon is and how can I disable it ? I was cleaning my keypad and might have pressed some combination of letters. ThankYOU for any help.

Thanks. As I understand your question, you are using Safari, loading the Google web page, and typing in its search field — not Safari's search field. Is that correct?
If so contact Google for assistance. Their web page is drawing that grey box.
Yes, your understanding is correct John. Greetings and sincere regards to you and thankyou for your acknowledgements. I am not using any app for typing actually. It's just browser Safari , navigating to google and started typing..(apologies if you'd not get you a better response to that :).
