What adapter will permit my mac m1 pro (2021) to open usb2 flash drives?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 13.3

My guess would be a USB-A to USB-C adaptor. I don't think your drive would have anything other than USB-A (rectangle).

This assumes they are formatted FAT32 or ExFAT. If they are formatted NTFS, you would need other software to write to them. If that is the case, post back.
