Ordered lists - number font

Hi!


I'm working with a document that has lots of numbered lists. When I select all the text in the document and set a specific font, it changes all the text in the document EXCEPT the numbers that appear before items in the numbered lists. These numbers stay in the same font, whatever I do to the rest of the text. I've explored the List Styles area but cannot find a way to force these numbers to be in the correct font.


Please tell me there's a way of changing this!! Thanks very much!

In my tested experience here with Pages v13, when you select the entire list and even though the numbers are not selected, changing the font changes everything in the list, numbers included.


Here is a short list that I selected and changed the font to the visibly different cutout.ttf:


and without changing that selection, here is how it appears when I select Adobe Garamond Regular:


This would indicate that the numbers do change their appearance if the font used is significantly different, but not so much if the fonts are similar. In the following, I changed from Adobe Garamond Regular to Book Antigua Regular and the line height and number shape changed due to the design of this font:
