Regarding the wallpaper settings
Okay there HAS to be a way to update my wallpaper on my homescreen without changing the wallpaper on the lockscreen

Hello dielon,
You can change the wallpaper for your Home Screen, Lock Screen, or both using the steps in the resource listed up above.
Specifically, if you go to Settings > Wallpaper, and select "customize" on the right option, it will just adjust the Home Screen wallpaper.
