arsalan46, if you are willing to try a simpler procedure than the one I have been using, please consider the following abbreviated instructions. They are very conservative. If they are not effective please write back.
First, start your Mac in "Safe Mode": How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support. Starting in Safe Mode takes longer than usual so let it finish.
While in that mode, drag the following files to the Trash:
Then, restart your Mac normally.
Launch Safari while holding a Shift key.
When the Safari window opens, release the Shift key. Open Safari's Preferences (or Settings), select the General pane and review your Homepage selection. Then, select the Search pane and confirm your desired Search Engine.
If the "Search Alpha" redirect problem continues to occur, please write back for additional instructions.
