Error when doing Revive and Restore in DFU

Came home after a severe thunderstorm and found my 2020 M1 Mac mini with a blinking amber status light.

Tried to do a Revive and Restore in DFU and got an error message during the installation.

I'm stumped. Is there something I'm doing wrong, or is it toast? Can anyone help with this?

Are you using a second Mac to run and restore your problem Mac...(?)

rare circumstances, such as a power failure during a macOS update or upgrade, a Mac may become unresponsive and so the firmware must be revived or restored.

Thanks for the reply

I used a 2017 MacBook Pro with Ventura and also used another 2020 M1 Mac mini and got the same error with both.

I read Apple's instructions, and also watched Mr. Macintosh's video, who I follow, beforehand to make sure I did it correctly since this was my first time.

After getting the error I used my MacBook Pro to revive the other 2020 M1 Mac mini mentioned above, and it did the revive according to what Apple described.

I'm thinking the Mac mini's hardware is damaged, but I'm not sure.

Any thoughts?
