XS vs SE Camera

Let me preface my question; my wife is a knitwear designer and uses my old XS to take pictures of her knitting and yarn samples, so accurate color reproduction is a *must*. She prefers the XS's color balance and image quality over the newer iPhones. We tried replacing it with one of the 12s, but the color was off compared to photos taken by the XS.

Before we order a new phone (again), I'm researching the physical differences between the camera chips in the phones. The published specs don't go into that kind of detail.

And yes, she's used DSLRs before (Anything bigger than a phone is too unwieldy), knows Photoshop (she was an early beta tester), and has a degree in printing and printing technologies, checking color accuracy before a print run was her job for two decades, so she knows exactly what she needs.
