Where did this File Folder Come from?

I have a file folder on my desktop I did not create and don't know how it showed up. Is this from checking a box somewhere to create a backup folder? Can they be deleted? The folder is named "Ricks-iMac24 Backup".

I already have a backup external hard drive and subscribe to a service for backing up all my files.
