What do you mean by "Apple Account card"?
Apple only offers the Apple Card for payment. It's a Credit Card with cash back options on many purchases.
You can add your own cards from banks and 3rd party issuers to the Wallet app.
In my Apple Wallet are 3 cards from Apple:
1) An Apple (symbol) Account Card
2) An Apple (symbol) Pay Cash Card
3) An Apple (symbol) Card that also has the Mastercard logo in lower right, this card is also linked to the new Apple Savings account currently paying 4.15% interest
So, not really sure about what #1 & #2 are - and would think they might never be needed/used if one has #3
Thoughts? Thanks
Not struggling at all. You can use Apple Pay at any merchant that accepts Apple Pay and Tap-To-Pay (TTP). If you see either of these symbols your good to go. Market penetration in US is approaching 90%. One of the largest holdouts, Krogers, has started slowly phasing it in.

thanks for the explanation, it’s very helpful. It does seem like Apple is struggling to get accepted at all merchants, which seems a bit of a rub using any of these outside the Apple ecosystem
