You can use Apple Pay for iPad online that might be supported.
Examples could be on Websites, In-App purchases or even on the App store. But unfortunately iPads do not have the contactless NFC store payment.
If you are looking for that feature, I recommend getting an iPhone that has an NFC Chip inside that can seamlessly pay from store to store. This feature is supported on iPhone 6 and up.
