How to remove highlight in books on Mac (Ventura13.3.1)?

I cannot find any option to delete my wrong highlight.

It seems that the options of deleting highlight and note have disappeared on current Mac version.

What should I do to delete my highlights?

MacBook Air, macOS 13.3

Hi,

I have the same issue - I want to remove a highlight from a title in the epub.

When I control-click (press and hold control + click) on the highlighted text (title), the contextual menu does not show Remove highlight.

Is there any other way to remove the highlight, please? I tried deleting the book and replacing it with another copy of the epub, but the highlight still shows.

Thanks in advance for your help.

UPDATE:

The highlight was on a title in the epub and could not be removed.

Solution:

Select the highlighted text (the title) and more text after it (body text)
Highlight the whole selection (title + body text)
Right-click a part of the text that was not originally highlighted (body text)
In the contextual menu, click remove highlight
