Yes, in my experience. I’ve been in developing countries in Africa that don’t support Apple Pay, but my airline tickets worked fine. However, when traveling, I always get a paper ticket when I check in. This prevents issues when/if technical issues arise.

Quick “non-hijacking” question: In those still-substantial regions where ApplePay is not supported …

… is the user’s Wallet still “functional” albeit at “reduced capability?”

Example: Might the OP place airline boarding passes in his wallet (assuming air-carrier support) ?

As far as “paper” … concur 100% … nothing beats the “backwards compatibility” afforded by “paper” in MANY areas of the World.
