Q: Modify the Asset Metadata Set

Just setting up my first FCS.

Two questions:

1. How can I change the fields in the default Asset Metadata Group?

2. Can I make another metadata group the first in the list?

1. You can't. But you can add the same fields to an additional group that presents just the fields you want.

2. Shouldn't you be able to do this by setting display priority to a negative number?

You could, but doing so really screws up the asset window's interface. The window renders all out of whack when any metadata group is assigned higher precedence than Asset.

I found an solution to #2. Use a space at the beginning of the name.

Using a space moves an group above.

Adding a space moves it above your other metadata groups, but it doesn't move it above system groups like Asset.

You're not really seeing it above everything, which was your original goal, no?

I have a group showing first of all even Asset just give that group Display Priority = 0 (since asset uses 1)
