It worked for me and my config at least, after trying out all the other recommendations found online which didn't help at all (not even moving up to 16.5).
I even replaced my 85% cap over heating battery for a new one (in retrospect I don't think that would have been necessary).
The fast battery drain came just after updating to 16.4 on my iPhone 12 mini.
I performed a back up of my iPhone, did a factory reset and restored from my back up. Except for banking connections which I had to re-establish, everything else came back just fine, including emails settings and Google Authenticator (which I had anyway backed-up just in case). Now my battery lasts the whole day and into the evening again...
My battery health went from 90 something to 88% after the update. 😭
Same problem with iPhone 14 Pro Max...
Me too
I have the same issue with my 14 pro max. It was fine till this emergency update came out. Going from 100 to 91 from doing absolutely nothing for 40 minutes
Same with iPhone 11 Pro
Same problem with iPhone 13 Pro Max :(
Same issue here Iphone 14. Nothing gas changed, battery drops from 80 ti 50 in few hours while yesterday until yesterday in the same hours drop from 80 to 70
My iphone 14 pro battery health already lost 1% in a span of 2 weeks (from 98 down 97% in 2weeks).
in the previous ios versions, it will take months before my battery health will decrease 1%
Same thing on my 13
Makes me wonder if I should update as soon as updates are available. Perhaps if I had read about battery drainage I would not have bothered
Hi, did your battery health goes back to 100 or still 91?
Yes! Major battery drain I can’t make a day without charging. Never had this issue in the last 2 years owning this phone. Will there be another update to correct?
Now it is on 100% (health). I don’t know how it was before. It is a new battery built almost one year ago.
This update iOS 16.4.1(a) is really sucking my battery life on my 11 pro max. Battery life was cool before the update any help please
I deleted iOS 16.4.1(a) and rebooted my iPhone 12 and nothing resolved. Still having higher than normal battery drain. What next?
