Savings Unavailable - Apple Card

Hi all - I opened an apple credit card when I heard the news of the HYS account apple began to offer. I've had an account for a few weeks now, but every time I try to open the savings account I get the same error that shows in the picture.

My IOS is updated, I verified my I.D, I received my physical card and activated it. I was on the phone with Goldman Sachs for 40 minutes and all the rep could tell me was that it's an error. I've tried multiple times at different points of the day.

Any advice? Anyone else still dealing with this?

OK, thank you for the information. Let’s start with a forced restart of your iPhone.

Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

If that doesn’t effect a change, move on to logging out if your Apple ID/iCloud account, restarting your iPhone, and then logging back into your account.

Do you have more than one Apple ID or have changed the email associated with your Apple ID?

Are you behind a VPN?

Just trying to cover all the bases. What model iPhone do you have and where and how was it purchased? There are multiple reports across the internet/social media of iPhones that were models originally intended for the Chinese market having issues.

A few more basics:

iPhone Region set for US — switch off, then back on to confirm

Turned off VPN?

Are you currently in the US and not overseas?

Apple Cash is setup and verified?

How exactly are you trying to open your Savings Account?

The device is an iPhone 13 Pro. It was bought directly through T-Mobile’s website .

For the region, are you referring to the “Language & Region” section in settings? I switched it to a new location and then back to the U.S and tried to open the savings account with no luck.

VPN is not set up.

I am currently in the U.S.

Apple cash is set up, I believe it is verified but is there a way I can check?

I am going to the wallet app -> Apple Card -> Daily Cash -> Savings - Set Up -> Continue -> “Savings Unavailable”

Thanks for your continued help.
