i somehow changed my Apple Watch from step mode to wheel chair mode. On my phone when I open the watch app and go to watch > health > health details > wheel chair is on NO.
any other suggestions? I have Apple Watch 8.7.1
Which Watch? Series 3 or earlier, or Series 4 or later?
With Series 4 and later, current is 9.4, so try an update.

Is it maybe picking up the mode from your phone itself? On your phone, stay out of the watch app and go to Health > Browse > Click your Apple ID Pic (Top Right Corner) > Health Details > Wheel chair
Does it say "No" there too?
Hmmm, Im afraid I can't think of anything else that you could look at, I assume you have powered down both watch and phone and powered them back on (Sometimes helps to eliminate a random glitch)?
From there I would suggest updating to the latest version (9.4) on the watch to see of that helps, last ditch is to chat with Customer service, either online or at a Genius Bar if you have one local and available.
