All of a sudden I no longer receive notifications from all my apps , including email, WhatsApp, sms messages..,
When I checked settings, “Allow notifications” was enabled on all the apps, yet no notification bubbles pop up.
Perhaps I’ve mistakenly changed my settings. How do I get my app notifications back on, thanks.

Have you enabled Scheduled Summary?
Settings > Notifications > [Select the App that you are having trouble receiving immediate notifications]
See the pic below for a few examples. Please select immediate delivery.
Go to Settings and tap Notifications. Select an app under Notification Style. Under Alerts, choose the alert style that you want. If you turn on Allow Notifications, choose when you want the notifications delivered — immediately or in the scheduled notification summary.

I have this problem too. It’s since I did security update that apple issued last week (UK). I contacted apple and they asked me to reset something, promising I wouldn’t lose data/info. It wiped everything and did not fix the problem!
