As of this date, turning off 2FA is not an option. So, what exactly is the issue you are having, other than trying to disable ti? I am eager to know.
For me, two factor happens every single time I use my computer at home. Apple never recognizes my browser (even though I check the remember me box) and sometimes it is not convenient to jump up and grab my phone because apple does not recognize my own home.

Perform New iCloud Sessions:
Log out of iCloud on all devices association to you Apple account, and then log back in. Perhaps they all need to resync?
