logic pro x 10.7.7 / no signal from scarlet solo 3rd gen or built in mic.

I'm running the logic pro x 10.7.7 on a 2017 macbook air with latest Monterey and not getting signal into the record levels.

I'm choosing built in microphone when trying the mic. In system preferences there is movement.

While using my Scarlet Solo 3rd gen i see my light levels responding but not getting signal into logic.

When using the scarlet i am selecting the USB Scarlet Solo interface for input and output in logic preferences. Then using input 2 which my guitar is plugged while i also have a XLR mic plugged into 1.

This hardware works fine on my older macbook and my windows laptop.
