White screen with pink tones after updating to iOS16.4.1 (a)
iPhone 13 Pro bought in 2021 September turned into this mess after updating to iOS16.4.1 (a). I went to the Apple Store in Marina Bay Sands, Singapore and the diagnostics turned out to be all functional, including the display. I was quoted 442 SGD to swap the panel by the technician who alleges that this is a hardware issue...
Did a google search online and found out that I'm not the only one facing this issue. Also read about the situation with BOE and Samsung being suppliers of screens to iPhone 13 Pro series and then some issues that occured with BOE. That said, given that this is indeed a widespread issue, shouldn't there be a corrective action from Apple to deal with this issue? Should consumers be the one to pay the price for a manufacturing defect? I think not.
Looking forward to any help that can be given on this issue. Honestly, the phone was great until the latest update. Now I'm not too sure if my next phone will be apple or whether I can even trust in the quality of other apple ecosystem product such as the macbook, ipad and airpods, all of which I happen to own.
