App Store error

I got an error saying that my iPhone 6s on iOS 11 can’t connect to the App Store, even though the servers are up and I’m connected to the internet. How do I fix this? (also I don’t want to update)

Check the network connection:

You need to have a good Service and/or Wi-Fi.

If they are On, turn Off Hotspot & VPN.

Charge the battery > 70%.

If you can't connect to the App Store, iTunes Store, or other Apple services

👉 If you tried all of the above steps and you still can’t connect, contact Apple Support.

If it is an iPhone 6 -> you can update to iOS 12.5.7.

If it is an iPhone 6S you can update to iOS 15.7.5.

You can check here -> iPhone models compatible with iOS 12 -> iOS 16.

iPhone models compatible with iOS 15.5 – Apple Support (UK)

Go to Settings -> General -> Software Update -> Download and Install.

You need about 6 GB device storage and good Service and/or Wi-Fi.

If they are On, turn Off Hotspot & VPN.

Charge the battery > 70%.

I have the same problem as OP. It affects App Store, iTunes, and Apple Music. iPhone 7 Plus on iOS 11.3.1. I am unable to update my device, unfortunately. I also have not received a notification that any of these services would be dropped/unsupported on device or version. I am still paying for Apple Music and I expect it to work or to at least receive warning if the services are going to be unsupported.

Here are the errors from the syslog while Apple Music is failing to connect, it's the same errors produced in all the affected apps:

<ICStoreURLSession: 0x1c0096490> <ICStoreURLRequest: 0x1c41e5300>[Music/3.1][requestContext=<ICStoreRequestContext: 0x1c02a40e0>] no validation key in trust info - failing extended validation

<ICStoreURLSession: 0x1c42809b0> finished task <__NSCFLocalDataTask: 0x119a2e5f0>{ taskIdentifier: 3 } { completed } for request <ICStoreURLRequest: 0x1c43fbf00>[Music/3.1][requestContext=<ICStoreRequestContext: 0x1c02a3600>]. err=Error Domain=ICErrorDomain Code=-7100 "(null)" UserInfo={NSUnderlyingError=0x1c4e5a3a0 {Error Domain=NSURLErrorDomain Code=-999 "cancelled" UserInfo={NSErrorFailingURLStringKey=https://init.itunes.apple.com/bag.xml?ix=6&os=11&locale=en_US, NSLocalizedDescription=cancelled, NSErrorFailingURLKey=https://init.itunes.apple.com/bag.xml?ix=6&os=11&locale=en_US}}}

I can reach the bag at https://init[.]itunes.apple.com/bag.xml just fine via my computer on the same internet connection. Over the past few days it has reconnected around 8-9:00 PM EST, but after any device reboot the service refuses to connect once again. Very frustrating.

iPhone 7 Plus on iOS 11.3.1.

A question: do you have a MDM profile?

If so, contact your company - IT department, to update your iPhone.

I can’t use the upgrade now as there is no space

1.

Try to free up iPhone device storage see this Apple articles below:
