import photos from my iPhone to MacBook: "Import Selected" and "Import All New Photos" Buttons

I want to import photos from my iPhone to MacBook.

I plugged-in the iPhone.

I've gone into MacBook's Photos app. I am at the "Import" screen, iPhone is selected.

Selected (on the MacBook) the photos on my iPhone to be imported

No "Import Selected" and "Import All New Photos" buttons. Blank area on screen.

I've done this a dozen times before.

Hey S_Shaw,

Those are some great steps you took on your own! Let's make sure we try other methods as well together. First, did you try connecting your iPhone to your Mac using a different USB cable? Sometimes, the cable can be the cause of the issue when it comes to connecting two different devices. Also, if you have another USB port on your Mac, connecting it to another port might be worth a try as well.

Once you got the steps above ready, please try the following steps again:

Transfer photos and videos from your iPhone or iPad to your Mac or PC

1. Connect your iPhone or iPad to your Mac with a USB cable.
2. Open the Photos app on your computer.
3. The Photos app shows an Import screen with all the photos and videos that are on your connected device. If the Import screen doesn't automatically appear, click the device's name in the Photos sidebar.
4. If asked, unlock your iOS or iPadOS device using your passcode. If you see a prompt on your iOS or iPadOS device asking you to Trust This Computer, tap Trust to continue.
5. Choose where you want to import your photos. Next to "Import to," you can choose an existing album or create a new one.
6. Select the photos you want to import and click Import Selected, or click Import All New Photos.
7. Wait for the process to finish, then disconnect your device from your Mac.

Be sure to also check out the bottom section that goes over other ways to transfer your photos. The section should say 'More ways to transfer photos and videos to your computer'.

Let us know how it goes!

Best regards.
