I paid my balance early and shows zero balance but not reflected on my available balance. Why?

Goldman Sachs, by law, has up to 30 days to free your available credit However, I’ve never heard of them taking that long. This usually happens for several possible reasons. If you account is new they may hold your first 1 to 3 payments for a week to 10 days. If you make several payments in a row then, they may hold 2 or 3 payments as protection. If your check account you’re using as a payment source is relatively new. If you have collections or other issues on your credit score. If your score is subpar, below FICO 640 and maybe a dozen other possible reasons.

I’m not accusing, just explaining some of the many reasons that Goldman Sachs may hold crediting your available credit on your account. It’s not personal, they’re just protecting other account owners, stock holders etc. Once you establish a consistent payment pattern it’ll probably never happen again.

You’re welcome to contact Goldman Sachs Bank.
