Safari draining too much battery life

I am having a terrible problem with Safari eating up my battery power. Can anyone offer any tips to reduce this? Thanks in advance!

First, determine if Safari us using power in the foreground or background.

To do this, tap Settings > Battery > Show Activity. The following page explains further: About the battery usage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
