System Settings search field not working on Ventura (Solved!) (Finally!)

Most of the threads regarding this timed out, but I wanted to share a solution I found.

Since I first installed Ventura, nothing would appear if I entered anything into the search field.

I also found that the problem was unique to my user account. Other users I had created on the system didn't have this issue.

After trying all the conventional ways of rebuilding the Spotlight database, I opened a ticket with Apple Support that went all the way to Engineering and then died there.

Finally, after creating a couple of redundant backups of the entire drive and my User account via Shirtpocket's SuperDuper! (my personal goto for cloning), I deleted my user account and restored it from a Time Machine backup via Migration Assistant, selecting only my User account to restore.

And now, it works!!!

As always, your mileage may vary and I would stress extreme caution making sure everything is well backed up.

I hope this helps someone!
