Back up your data, check the application compatibility table, click here, and then on the download link for High Sierra; your computer can't be upgraded past there. If you encounter a specific issue, describe it in this thread.

Ah, yes, you're at the limit as far as OSes go.
Mostly you just need a more modern Browser than Safari on Mojave, or High Sierra like Firefox or Brave.

Ah, the limit! Is this so? I appreciate the info.
My mac book pro is outdated from my Genius Bar visit, last year. I am currently using Chrome as a browser. Would you suggest the other four options you mentioned below? I need this for a web development project.

I prefer Brave over Chrome, even if it is the same basic browser, it doesn't phone google every step * has built in Ad blasting.
