Audio sounds muffled on iPhone XR

my audio started sounding like it was under water today it happened out of nowhere it was just working find earlier am I going to have to go in the store or can I fix it myself?

If you already tried (to no avail) all the steps provided in this support article:--> If you hear no sound or distorted sound from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch speaker , I suggest that you contact Apple Support directly, using this specific link:--> https://getsupport.apple.com/?caller=topartmgs , or make an appointment (*) and have your device inspected at an Apple Store or AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) among this list:--> https://locate.apple.com/choose-country-region . After checking it out, they'll give you all the available options.

Same issue. It's just worn out or blown out. The XR was always the sub or lower quality version of the X generation of phones. The speakers were never as good as the regular X versions and after years of use if you compare it to other and newer versions of iphone its really bad. Speaker repair might get expensive if you don't have apple care. But you should always try a restartyour phonw, followed by a hard reset - Press and quickly release the volume up button. Press and quickly release the volume down button. Press and hold the side button. When the Apple logo appears, release the side button. And then contact customer service and they will walk you through a factory reset. Best bet, go into an Apple store, if you can, and check trade-in value of you device with out mentioning speaker issues.
