No, com.apple.finder.plist, anywhere on iMac... why?

I bought a secondhand 2019 iMac that was apparently running just fine on Ventura.

I had it for a day and updated it to 13.3.1 (a).

Now I am having finder issues.

Advice I was given was to remove the com.apple.finder.plist.

It is nowhere to be found. I have gone looking for it everywhere.

Thanks in advance.

I have tried showing hidden files etc but no luck.

Where is this? Is it still used by finder in the version? What am I missing?

While in the finder, press command shift G, copy this line and paste it in. Press return.

~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist

That picture is the Go to Folder dialog.

The paths it shows won’t have a Finder property list file as that is the “all users” Library.

You have to look in your user Library, ~/Library/Preferences. That folder is hidden, but you can get there by holding down the Option key and selecting Library from the Go menu in Finder.
