The Operation Can't Be Completed Fix?

On iPad OS 16.4.1(a) with an iPad Pro 12.9" 5th Gen and am having this popup any time I try to modify any file in Files, whether it be changing the file extension or deleting the file. I do not have google drive or onedrive or acrobat or any kind of external storage apps downloaded. It's getting a bit frustrating considering I use files for nearly everything. I'd like to be able to go back to editing files without having to send them to my phone and then back to my iPad

A forced-restart is recommended - as this may clear an isolated software issue:

Force restart iPad (models with Face ID or with Touch ID in the top button)

If your iPad doesn’t have the Home button, do the following:

  1. Press and quickly release the volume button nearest to the top button.
  2. Press and quickly release the volume button farthest from the top button.
  3. Press and hold the top button.
  4. When the Apple logo appears, release the top button.

Force restart iPad (models with the Home button)

Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
