That’s wrong. Any audio recording on any device that has access to the internet and your Apple ID will be matched to a piece of digital media which Apple Music sells consumers temporary permission to listen to. That is replaced with the match that Apple makes and now the only recording of that piece of music on your computer is one that Apple Music owns and is merely renting you. It doesn’t matter if your music is on your hard drive or the cloud if either one of those storage sites is connected to the Internet and has your Apple ID attached to it

I lost over 5000 pieces of music. The music Apple decided to leave me was an odd variety of classical music Broadway show tunes, opera. Funny thing, they left Abbey Road and Sergeant peppers, but took the white album which I bought on CD and never purchased Abbey Road or Sergeant peppers. Ironic considering Apple’s relationship with the original Apple Music the original label for the Beatles. music has always been such an enormous comfort, and Apple stole it.

No.

Music that existed before subscribing to Apple Music, will remain on your computer as long as it was not deleted manually from there after it was matched or uploaded to the iCloud Music Library.

If it was deleted for any reason, then the copy in the iCloud music library will no longer be accessible and as such will not be accessible locally either.

Music accessed from there on other devices, may no longer be available on those devices however.

As long as you have a local copy on your Mac, it will remain there after cancelling their subscription. Any Music downloaded from the Apple Music subscription service will be removed however.

Music you downloaded (not Apple Music) will still remain if you don't erase them manually.

If you accidentally deleted it, you can go to the app/website you got it and download it again. If you put the music in iTunes or your computer, you can import it back to your iPhone.

To import it back follow the steps below.

1 Select "File" In many platforms, you can find the "Import" option by selecting "File." In some cases, you might select "File" and "Open" to choose the file to import

2 Select "import"

3 Choose the right format.
