iPhone constantly disconnecting from eduroam
I don't know if it's just me but I swear it's gotten worse with iOS 16. For some reason, my iPhone will just disconnect from university wifi for no reason. I could press connect in settings, it will show the checkmark, but then right when I leave settings after connecting, it disconnects. For context, I also use a Windows PC and I do not have the same issue and same thing with a different android phone that I have on me. Any clue what this could be?
Tried all the usuals steps like reset network settings, factory data reset, restore with iTunes forget and add network again, install new certificate, none of which made the problem go away. But one odd thing that I noticed is that if I restart my phone, it seems to randomly disconnect less but eventually the issue comes back or maybe it's just me feeling like it's done something. Onboard IT team has no idea what's going on and claims that it's beyond the scope of what they can fix. Strange because I do not have this issue at home. I also know plenty of other iPhone people who also have the exact same issue as me. I don't remember my phone disconnecting this badly on iOS 15. I could be the only person in the room and the only device connected to the AP and it still has this issue.
iPhone 13 if it's relevant. Windows PC and Android Phone don't have this issue. WPA-2 Enterprise network (username/password based login).
