Does a Mac mini require a keyboard or mouse to be connected ?

We have a Mac mini that we use for automated software builds. Earlier this year it got moved to a dedicated room that has an ethernet connection.

Once it was moved to that room, it has had 2 kernel panics and forced us to boot in safe mode, logged in without issues.

Booted in regular mode and the mini crashed.

Booted in recovery mode, did not perform any recovery actions

Booted in regular mode and successfully logged in using the account we normally use.

We remoted to it later and was presented with a dialog indicating that the computer had restarted.

This computer has never had anything other than a monitor, keyboard and mouse attached to it.

Now that it's in a server room, it doesn't even have that unless we physically need to touch it.

This machine ran underneath my desk for 2+ years, but it did have a monitor, keyboard and mouse attached to it.

Here is the beginning of the dump that I was presented with, basically I'm trying to determine if it HAS to have a keyboard and mouse connected to it.

My 2011 Mac mini is running High Sierra 10.13.6 and is headless without keyboard and mouse. It does have an HDMI dummy plug on it that tricks it into believing there is an external display connected. These HDMI (or DisplayPort) "ghost" dongles are cheap on Amazon.

In practice, I press the power button and walk out of the room because this mini is configured for access by Apple's Virtual Network Computing (VNC) using Screen Sharing. On my M2 Mac mini Pro with 32-in LG 4K display, I use the Apple Screen Sharing application to open a large window where I remotely access that mini.
